Playing Around

Everyday Brock is getting more mobile. He is the happiest when you are helping him stand. Yesterday we had to go over to Joint Base Andrews to pick up a comforter set that I bought on our base for sale site and had an hour to burn before the BX opened. Here is a couple of pictures we took while playing in the Jeep.

Well it seems like yesterday and we were bringing little Brock home from the hospital. Three months later and we have a bouncing 15 pound boy. Brock has recently discovered his feet and spends his time reaching and trying to eat them. Depending on the night Brock either sleeps through the night or wakes up twice I prefer the sleep through the night routine but he hasn't made up his mind yet so hopefully he will be sleeping through the night soon. I'm excited for warmer weather so we can get out more. Its defiantly true in Brock's case the more fresh air he gets during the day the more he sleeps at night.
Today is my first Mothers day and I spent it with Brock relaxing. Matt is now a Tech. School Instructor and has been traveling around to different bases and training the Base Honor Guard. The next couple of week Matt will be in California training the Travis AFB Base Honor Guard.

I can't believe that Brock is 1 month old, it seems like yesterday and we were bringing him home from the hospital.

Today my Baby Brock is 4 weeks old. We are finally establishing some sort of sleeping schedule. He now wakes up 4am and is down pretty much the rest of the night.
He is growing out of his newborn clothes but not quite big enough for his 3 month clothes which is annoying but I'm not going to rush his growing as I feel he is already growing so fast.
He is taking a pacifier now which I hope to get him use more especially when we are on our plane trip to Oregon. I hope he does well or maybe the plane will be empty, I don't want to be one of those people that brings their baby and he cries the whole time. I guess if he does cry it really can't be helped.
Hopefully this weekend I can get some pictures done of little "Brockley"! I try to take pictures myself but I'm holding him most of the time and its just to hard to get a good picture.

Brock Samson von Borstel was born February 2, 2011 @3:50pm. 8lbs 8oz 20.1 inches long.


Well its been about 3 weeks since little Brock has entered our world and changed my definition of LOVE. The LOVE I feel for my son is the craziest and most overwhelming feeling I've ever felt. He is the cutest little boy and I can't help but stare at him and lose all track of time. I catch myself checking him when he sleeps just to make sure he's okay. I can't help but smile when he smiles and hope he will smile again soon. He has already exceeded my expectations as a son and so far he's only cried,pooped,peed,smiled and slept.
